China

China is a country in Asia, home to the world's second-largest population and is the third largest country in the world by area. 

As one of the oldest countries in the world, China's history spans thousands of years to the early days of civilization. In modern times, the country, now known as the People's Republic of China and under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is considered a global superpower and the chief rival of the United States. It boasts one of the world's largest militaries, with one of the largest navies, air forces, and armies on Earth, as well as the second-largest economy on Earth. 

China's capital city is Beijing and its largest city by population is Shanghai. Its current leader is President Xi Jinping.
