New York

New York is a state within the United States and is one of the original 13 colonies that formed the country following the American Revolution. Nicknamed "The Empire State," New York is the 27th largest state by area and the fourth largest by population. It is also the third most economically prosperous state by GDP, behind only California and Texas. Its capital city is Albany and its largest city is New York City, which is also the largest city in the US.
