Bat Yam municipality names Efrat Saranga as victim in Iran attack

The Bat Yam Municipality announced that Efrat Saranga, 44, was murdered in the Iranian missile attack in the early hours of Sunday morning.

She leaves behind her husband of eight years, Ofir Saranga. She was the eldest daughter in a family with two brothers.

At least six were wounded across Israel, four in southern Israel and two in the North, following a launch from Iran, emergency services stated on Sunday.

A fire also broke out in the northern Israeli city of Haifa following Iranian missile strikes on Sunday evening, Israeli media reported. ZAKA reported a direct hit on a residential building in northern Israel. 

Walla reported that 28 missiles were sent to Israel.

‘We set them back quite a bit’: Netanyahu to Fox

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he believed that Israeli strikes on Iran had set the Islamic Republic back significantly.

“I think we’ve set them back quite a bit. They were very surprised,” Netanyahu told Fox News.
He added that Operation Rising Lion aims to remove two existential threats: Iran’s nuclear threat, and its ballistic missile threat.

He also added that he believed that the operation could lead to a regime change.


Remaining three Flotilla activists to be released tomorrow

Out of the original 12 pro-Palestinian activists who boarded the Gaza Freedom Flotilla last Saturday from Sicily towards the Gaza Strip, the remaining three who got caught up the closed Israeli airspace this week will be released tomorrow morning, Adalah - The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, the legal aid group representing the activists, announced on Sunday evening.

Marco van Rennes, Pascal Maurieras, and Yanis Mhamdi will return to their home countries through the Jordanian border.

Adalah added that their respective embassies will be waiting on the Jordanian side of the border for them.
